Senior Optimization Manager

Summary:

Senior-level Manager responsible for delivering KPIs and/or revenue goals set forth in pay-per-performance contracts with partners. Also responsible for the development and planning of merchandising strategy and optimization projects for the B2B2C and B2C merchandising efforts.

Collect and analyze data from a variety of source s to develop a deeper understanding of consumer behavior and how that behavior can be utilized to optimize KPIs. Manages the user experience (UX) optimization process end-to-end by creating an optimization schedule, managing all components of project execution, analyzing test results, and presenting findings to the partner. Ensures test ideas meet defined goals through a combination of proper strategy, placement, and speed of tests.

Job Functions:

  • Develop and plan ongoing merchandising optimization strategy for each partner
  • Develop and plan ongoing user experience strategy for each partner
  • Develop strategy for merchandising all products managed on behalf of partners
  • Review sites and leverage data to gain insight into user experience and behavior, trending, site usability and effectiveness, and present actionable insights and recommendations based on data results and best practices
  • Plan and develop A/B and Multi-Variate test campaigns with clear and measurable objectives that meet partner goals
  • Plan the optimal mix of new and proven ideas in the right segments to maximize KPIs
  • Accurately document all merchandising tests with relevant data in Filemaker including hypothesis, test idea, approval documentation tracking, mock-ups, and any instructions to properly execute the tests
  • Exhibit leadership qualities and be a mentor for other Optimization Strategists
  • Work closely with the Information Technology team to develop new and innovative ways to sell products by requesting new features and functionality needed to support
  • Prepare reports related to testing activities and strategies by partner and business unit
  • Foster relationships with internal and external clients
  • Professionally present and communicate test ideas, plans and results to clients
  • Collaborate with Sales and Product Merchandising teams to support development of new products as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, UX Web Design, Digital Analytics, Merchandising, Market Research or related field or combination of relevant education and work experience.
  • 3 – 5 years E-commerce Website Optimization or UX Design, Web Data Analysis or Digital Marketing or Merchandising, preferably for an internet or technology company
  • Highly analytical and experienced in running A/B, Multi Variant and usability tests
  • Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to present findings at all levels
  • Strong background in e-commerce web analytics implementation, data tagging, reporting, optimization A/B testing, Multi-variate testing, personalization, and User Experience
  • CUA and CXA certifications from Human Factors International (preferred)
  • Experience with strategies for improving conversion on websites and at the offer level
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics, Adobe Test and Target, Omniture, Optimizely (preferred), Optimost, Maxymizer or other front-end testing tools and analytical platforms
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery a plus
